[su_tab title=”Myoskeletal Alignment Therapy”] Myoskeletal Alignment Therapy:
Pain patterns can be a syptom of postural dysfunction. Posture is the foundation from which the body moves. It is where movement starts and finishes. Poor movement and stagnane muscles can limit joint mobility and health. Key assessments will determine why pain is resultant.
Advanced Myoskeletal Alignment Therapy or M.A.T. consists of deep tissue, muscle energy and myofascial mobilization techniques. Integrating these techniques together creates a powerful tool to fight pain and correct faulty postures. It is very effective for rehabilitation to ease the body from pain and aches. Tight muscles can creat asymmetries in the body thus leading to bad postures and joint wear and tear.
The Myoskeletal Alignment Techniques program was developed by Dr. Erik Dalton as a tool to help relieve the neck/back pain epidemic. By incorporating muscle-balancing techniques with joint-mobilization maneuvers, your therapist will identify and correct dysfunctional strain patterns before they become pain patterns.
This technique is considered uniquely different from traditional thinking, and possibly an important next step in addressing body tension and the abnormal strain patterns caused by muscle/joint imbalances.

[su_tab title=”What to expect”] Wht to expect:
Myoskeletal Alignment Technique (MAT) begins with a thorough postural analysis to determine where your imbalances lie. I will assess available joint movement of hips, sacroiliac, and other structures while you are lying on the table to more accurately pinpoint your particular restrictions.
Myoskeletal Alignment sessions take place on the massage table with the client fully clothed or in shorts and bra top. This is an active, client-participation therapy where resisted stretching is used to mobilize joints. This means I will be stretching your muscles while you, the client, resist the stretch by actively contracting the stretched muscle. Additionally, you will be asked to move the joints while pressure is applied via elbows, palms, and knuckles.[/su_tab]
[su_tab title=”Corrective Exercise Programs”]Corrective Exercise Programs:
No manual therapy is complete without some form of movement program.
If we do not address the habitual movement patterns it is almost guaranteed we shall experience the same symptoms within time, if lasting effects are to be achieved with any condition its going to be necessary for us to teach the body how to move again and use a personalised, targeted exercise program that supports or allows us to continue with specific activities.
Each person is different structurally and therefore bespoke exercise programs are vital for joint health and physical longevity.
Corrective exercise programs are created to support the activities we enjoy while treating a myriad of physical problems.[/su_tab]
